This research aimed to reveal the requirements for activating the role of kindergarten institutions in developing environmental awareness among kindergarten children in Damietta Governorate, from the point of view of mentors, directors and teachers in kindergarten institutions in the ten educational departments in Damietta Governorate, and about that, the current research relied on the descriptive approach in collecting and interpreting information with the use of the questionnaire as a research tool that was applied to a stratified random sample of (472) teacher, director and mentor in kindergartens, and the research found that the requirements for activating the role of kindergarten institutions in developing environmental awareness among kindergarten children in Damietta Governorate came to a high degree, as it came towards the dimensions in the degree of verification (high), and the dimension of human requirements for the development of environmental awareness for the kindergarten child came in first place, with a high degree of verification, followed by the technological requirements for the development of environmental awareness for the kindergarten child, with a high degree of verification, and finally the material requirements for the development of environmental awareness for the kindergarten child, with a high degree of verification. The research recommended the need to prepare training programs for kindergarten teachers on the environmental awareness of the kindergarten child, which supports the child's link to the environment and its elements and identify the problems of the environment and find the best solutions to them, and the need to provide field trips to the various external environments to identify their elements and know the importance of those environments in order to increase the child's connection to the environment, and the need to hold periodic meetings with parents and under the supervision of educational leaders to guide parents to provide their children with the skills of preserving the environment and public and private property, and the need to provide computers Modern and providing a local network within the kindergartens, in order to provide documentaries and media about the environment, to increase their awareness of environmental issues and the impact of human practices on them.
