This research sought to present the challenges facing the enhancement of organizational flexibility in public secondary education schools in Damietta governorate, and to provide ways to overcome them by crystallizing an intellectual framework about the entrance to organizational flexibility. The research relied on the descriptive approach in collecting and interpreting information and identifying the most important challenges of enhancing organizational flexibility in public secondary education schools in Damietta governorate. As for the research tool, interviews have been applied upon a sample composed of twenty managers in public secondary education schools, Damietta governorate to identify the most fundamental challenges hindering the enhancement of organizational flexibility and ways to overcome them. The research found several challenges of organizational flexibility in public secondary education schools in Damietta governorate such as: adherence of many leaders within schools to the style of centralization of decisions, centralization and bureaucracy in administration, literal application of instructions and regulations, maintaining familiar habits and rejecting new ideas, and adherence of management to the systems and procedures stipulated. The research also recommended several proposals to meet the challenges of enhancing organizational flexibility in public secondary education schools in Damietta governorate, including: developing awareness among teachers and the administrative staff of the importance of organizational flexibility practices, seeking the assistance of experienced managers and workers by holding competitions to attract those with distinguished proficiencies, and providing comprehensive and updated information and data about the changes in the external environment and its impact on the internal environment.
