The study aimed to identify the degree of employing social studies teachers in the first Zarqa Education Directorate for productive thinking skills, and to detect individual differences that are attributed to the variable of gender, educational qualification, specialization, and the descriptive survey method was relied upon. The sample consisted of (140) male and female social studies teachers they were randomaly selected in the Directorate of Education First Zarqa. A questionnaire consisting of (27) items was prepared, distributed to five Areas: (fluency, flexibility, originality, conclusion, interpretation). The results of the study showed that: 1) The degree of employing social studies teachers in the first Zarqa Education Directorate for productive thinking skills was high, as the field of origin came in the first place, followed by the field of interpretation, in the third place the field of conclusion, then the field of fluency, and in the last place the field of flexibility. 2) There were no statistically significant differences in the estimates of the degree of employing social studies teachers in the First Zarqa Education Directorate for productive thinking skills due to the variables of gender, educational qualification, and specialization. In the light of the results of the study, a set of recommendations were presented, the most important of which is increasing interest providing social studies teachers with the competencies of teaching productive thinking skills in general, and skills of fluency and flexibility in particular.
