The study aimed to identify the degree to which the mathematics book for the eighth grade in Jordan included the components of mathematical prowess, and to achieve the objective of the study, the content analysis method was relied upon. 2021/2022, and their number is one book distributed in two parts, the first part consists of (189) pages, while the second part consists of (174) pages, and an analysis tool was prepared that is a list of the components of mathematical prowess consisting of (5) components, namely: comprehension conceptual, strategic competence, procedural fluency, adaptive reasoning, productive tendency, which amounted to (27) indicators,The results of the study showed that the repetitions of the mathematical proficiency components of the eighth grade textbook in Jordan ranged between (110-1120) repetitions, as the “conceptual comprehension” component came in the first place, at a high level, then the “procedural fluency” component came in the second place at a low level. As for the third rank, the "adaptive reasoning" component came at a low level, then the "strategic efficiency" component came at the fourth rank, and finally the "productive inclination" component came at a low level at the fifth rank. In the light of this result, the study recommended a reconsideration of the construction of the mathematics book for the eighth grade, so that it should focus on the weak components and take into account their inclusion, and the need to balance the components of mathematical prowess in the developed mathematics book for the eighth grade.
