تحليل محتوى كتاب التربية الإسلامية للصف الثاني عشر في الأردن في ضوء مهارات القرن الحادي والعشرين

The study examined the inclusion degree of 21st century skills in 12th grade Islamic education textbook in Jordan represented by two units (activities and questions). The study employed content analysis design. The sample of the study included all activities and questions in the textbook, totaling (124) activity and (234) questions. The researcher developed a content analysis checklist based on the 21st century skills totaling (32) skills distributing on (creativity and innovation, dialogue and communication, culture in the digital era, profession and life). Validity and reliability were obtained for the checklist. Frequencies and percentages were calculated for the items. The results of the study showed that: 1) The inclusion degree of 21st century skills in the activities were moderate (62.9%) while there were low degrees in questions (10.3%). 1) Creativity and innovation ranked first, with low inclusion degree, in the activities (25.8% of total activities) and that creativity and innovation ranked first, with low inclusion degree, in the questions (3.9% of total questions). 3) The profession and life skills ranked last, with low inclusion degree, in the activities (5.6% of all activities) and that profession and life skills also ranked last, with low inclusion degree, in the questions (1.3% of all questions). The inclusion degree of some of the 21st sub-skills was (0.0%). In light of the results, the study suggested some recommendations such as the need to include 21st century skills in the Islamic education textbooks. (Author’s abstract)
