أثر استراتيجية دورة التعلم الخماسية المعدَلة (5es) والنمط المعرفي في اكتساب المفاهيم البيولوجية لدى طلاب الصف العاشر الأساسي

This study aimed to investigate the effect of the modified five-phase learning cycle strategy and cognitive style on acquisition of biological concepts among tenth basic grade students. The study sample consisted of (34) students, were chosen from tenth basic grade students, were deliberately selected from a public school in the Directorate of Educational of Al-Kora District, the study sample distributed randomly into two groups experimental group (18) students, (12) of them follow the meditative style and (6) of them follow the impulsive style, studied through the modified five-phase learning cycle strategy, and the control group (16) students, (8) of them follow the meditative style and (8) of them follow the impulsive style, studied through normal method. To provide answers to the study question, the researcher used biological concepts test, cognitive style scales. The validity and reliability of the instruments were verified by the suitable educational and statistical methods. After analyzing the results by the statistical method, the findings were: there were statistically significant differences in the acquisition of biological concepts attributed to the group, in favor of the experimental group. And there were statistically significant differences in the acquisition of biological concepts attributed to the cognitive style, in favor of the meditative style. The study recommended to encouraging teachers to use modern teaching models such as the modified five-phase learning cycle model (5Es), and training teachers on teaching steps using the modified five-phase learning cycle strategy (5Es) and the procedures for implementing it, through holding training courses and workshops.
