دور الإعلام الجديد في تعزيز مفهوم المسؤولية الاجتماعية لدى طلاب الجامعات السعودية : دراسة ميدانية
The problem of the study was in answering the question about the role of new media in enhancing the concept of social responsibility among university students. Place of the study consists of all students of King Saud University and their number is (61151). Sample of the study consisted of a random sample of students from King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and number of the sample is (388) students. The researcher used the descriptive approach and used the questionnaire as a tool to study it. Main results: The study reached a number of results, the most notably results of them were: 1) Study Results showed that the new media most commonly used by university students are WhatsApp, YouTube, Twitter, E-mail, Instagram, Snapchat, Web Pages, and E-newspapers. 2) Study results showed that the study sample members agree on the reasons for using university students for the new media. 3) Study results showed that the main reasons for the use of new media by university students are the following: (To communicate with friends and comrades, for entertainment and enjoyment, contact with relatives and family, for education and follow-up, to follow local and international news). 4) Study results showed that the respondents are neutral in their agreement to contribution of the new media in enhancing the concept of individual responsibility towards the society among students in Saudi universities. 5) Study results showed that the respondents believe that the new media contribute with a medium degree in enhancing the concept of collective responsibility among students at Saudi universities. 6) Study results showed that the respondents believe that new media contribute with a medium degree in enhancing a culture of ethical commitment to social responsibility among university students. 7) Study results showed that the respondents agreed with the proposed scenario of the role of the new media in enhancing the concept of social responsibility among students at Saudi universities. 8) Study results showed that there were differences of statistical indications at the level of significance of the variable sex for the benefit of the females and the difference in the social situation in favor of the married. It was also found that there were differences according to the variable of specialization for the benefit of the human sciences in favor of less than 4000. The study recommends that :1) universities should organize research competitions for social responsibility among students. 2) Universities should hold conferences and seminars to promote a culture of social responsibility among students. 3) The study recommends that universities publish students' creations in promoting social responsibility. 4) Providing positive forms in the voluntary work by activating the role of academic guidance to the attention to social responsibility. 5) Public relations interest in universities involving the media in promoting social responsibility. 6) Universities should promote educational, ethical and religious aspects as an effective practice that students can apply within the university. 7) Universities should encourage students to public their creations social initiatives to the new media. 8) The openness of universities to the local community and the implementation of their obligations to apply social responsibility. 9) Assisting different bodies in the implementation of social responsibility strategies.
