The study aimed to reveal the effect of using brain-based learning and the bilateral investigation course on developing mental habits for teaching chemistry among tenth grade students in Sana'a Municipality, The semi-experimental curriculum was used, designed by the two groups (experimental, and control), with a pre- and post-scale, the sample consisted of (93) female students from the tenth grade of two schools from the schools of the Maeen governmental area in the Municipality, Selected intentionally, , distributed into three groups, two experimental groups for students of the first school, namely the first experimental (studied using brain-based learning), and the second experimental (studied using the bilateral investigation course), and the control group in the second school was studied in the usual way, and the study tool was the scale of mental habits prepared by the Researcher, And it was confirmed that it was true and stability, The study resulted in the following results: There are statistically significant differences at the level of (α≤0.05) between the averages of the scores of students of the experimental groups (first, second), and the degrees of the control group students in the dimensional application of the scale of mental habits and in favor of the experimental groups in measuring mental habits and that the size of the effect is large, There are also no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the students of the first experimental group and the students of the second experimental group in the scale of mental habits, which indicates that brain-based learning and the bilateral investigation cycle have the same effectiveness in teaching chemistry and science in general, and in light of the results of the study, The study found a number of recommendations and suggestions Related to its subject.
