The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the digital story in developing the language skills of students with mental disabilities who are able to learn، and to identify the statistically significant differences between the answers of students with mental disabilities who are able to learn before watching the digital story And after viewing it، and knowing the statistically significant differences between the answers of students with mental disabilities who are able to learn in developing language skills due to the study variables، the type of student، the age group، the time of the student spent in school، The study used the semiexperimental method، the digital story and the test as tools for it. The study population consisted of students with mental disabilities who are able to learn in the locality of Madani Alkubra. The study had taken a random sample of students from Al-Jazirah School for mental Disabilities، where they reached (23) male and female students، and the findings were analyzed by the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences Program (SPSS).The study concluded that there are statistically significant differences between the students' answers in developing language skills before watching the digital story and after watching it، in favor of the students' answers after watching the digital story. There are also statistically significant differences in the students’ answers in developing language skills after watching the digital story due to the period the student spent in school in favor of (3- and more) years. There are also statistically significant differences in the students’ answers in developing language skills after watching the digital story due to the student’s age stage. for teens، And that there are no statistically significant differences between the students’ answers in the development of language skills، the language skills after watching the digital story is due to the type of the student، and the study recommends the need to adopt modern strategies and take advantage of technology in teaching people with mental disabilities who are able to learn ،and the establishment of periodical training courses on modern technology for teachers of special education، the provision of modern devices and tools for using in teaching people with mental disabilities who are able to learn.
