The aim of this study is to highlight the role of the media as one of the most influential socialization institutions of the era, in addressing the challenges that human societies have become familiar with in the context of globalization and that undoubtedly include Algerian society, especially its youth, as the most vulnerable group to the storms of globalization and the most affected by its means and cultural messages. The most fundamental aspect on which the media institutions bear the brunt of their work is undoubtedly the aspects of national identity, its elements and its dimensions, as it is the sole guarantee of the survival of Algerian society to the extent that some of them have identified it as a type of national security, or the most important type of national security.
