الدوغماتية وعلاقتها ببعض المتغيرات لدى عينة من معلمي مدينة دمشق
This research aims to identify the level of dogmatism; as a personality component of teachers, and explore differences that can be related to some variables (gender, age, level of education, years of service, the stage taught by the teacher, graduation site "Institute vs. University" and the type of school "Public or Private") in dogmatism. Method: Dogmatism Scale (developed by Jaber Ahmeed, 2012) was applied to a sample of teachers (n=370) in Damascus city. The research analyses showed a high level of dogmatism among teachers, and there were differences that can be attributed to gender in dogmatism in favor of males, and those more than 50 years old, and to graduation site "Institute" graduates, and to teachers in public schools. There were no differences in dogmatism level to be attributed to the number of years of service, or the stage being taught. Recommendations are cited regarding providing for therapeutic measures for those working in educational settings. (Published abstract)
