The study aims at investigating the efficacy of artificial intelligence in improving EFL phonemic awareness among sixth grade female students. A quasi-experimental approach was adopted with two groups' pre-posttest design. The participants were 79 students randomly assigned to two groups: the experimental group (N=39) that learnt through Artificial Intelligence Application and the control group (N=40) that learnt through the traditional method. A phonemic awareness test comprising three dimensions (vowels, consonants, diphthongs) was prepared, validated, and implemented before and after the treatment. Data was analyzed using T-test and Eta squared. Findings revealed statistically significant differences between the traditional and experimental group post test scores across the three dimensions in favor of the experimental group. Findings denote the efficacy of artificial intelligence in improving EFL phonemic awareness among sixth grade female students. (Published abstract)
