This study aimed to identify the level of Qat addiction and the level of psychosomatic disorders among university students, and to assess the association between Qat addiction and the psychosomatic disorders among them. Analytical descriptive method was employed. Sample size was 266 students from Taiz university, 140 of them were males and 126 were females. The authors used the new Cornell's list which was prepared by keev Brodman etc. (1946) and translated to Arabic by abo alneel (1995) and Qat addiction scale (prepared by authors), the psychometric properties of this scale were assessed and revealed adequate validity and reliability. The results of this study are as following: 1) Low level of Qat addiction among the university students. 2) Low level of psychosomatic disorders among the university students. 3) There is an association between Qat addiction and psychosomatic disorders among the university students.
