The present study aimed to uncover the relationship between learning styles and critical thinking skills, and to know the prevailing learning styles among first-year students in social sciences at Yahya Fares University in the state of Medea. The sample of the study reached 211 male and female students, of (147) female students, (64) students who were randomly selected. The two measures of Learning Styles for Biggs and the Scale of Critical Thinking Skills of Ziouch Ahmed were used in the study. The current study reached the following results: 1) The main hypothesis of the study was partially fulfilled, as it found a negative correlation between the superficial learning style and the critical thinking skills, and there was no correlation relationship between the deep learning style in critical thinking skills in light of the "Zayoush Ahmed" scale. 2) The prevalence of deep learning over the superficial method among first-year social sciences students. 3) There is no correlation between superficial learning style and the skill of interpretation among first-year social sciences students at Yahya Faris University in Medea. 4) There is no correlation between the superficial learning method and the skill of accuracy in examining facts among first-year social sciences students at Yahya Faris University in Medea. 5) There is no correlation between the superficial learning method and the skill of perceiving objective facts among first-year social sciences students at Yahya Faris University in Medea. 6) There is no correlation between the superficial learning style and the skill of realizing the correct relationship among first-year social sciences students at Yahya Faris University in Medea. 7) There is no correlation between the superficial learning style and the skill of extremism in opinion among first-year social sciences students at Yahya Faris University in Medea. 8) There is a correlation between the method of deep learning and the skill of interpretation among first-year social sciences students at Yahya Faris University in Medea. 9) There is no correlation between the method of deep learning and the skill of accuracy in examining facts among first-year students in social sciences at Yahya Faris University in Medea. 10) There is no correlation between the method of deep learning and the skill of perceiving objective facts among first-year social sciences students at Yahya Fares University in Medea. 11) There is a correlation between the method of deep learning and the skill of recognizing the correct relationship among first-year social sciences students at Yahya Faris University in Medea. 12) There is a correlation between the method of deep learning and the skill of extremism in opinion among first-year social sciences students at Yahya Faris University in Medea.
