The research aimed at exploring the role of pragmatic principles in learning vocabulary through three experiments: the first experiment concerns the contrast principle, the second experiment deals with the conventionality principle, and the third experiment deals with the principle of intention through theory of mind. The participants consisted of a group of learners studying at the sixth elementary level in the first and second trials, and a group of learners studying at the first elementary level. The experiments ended with the adoption of pragmatic principles in vocabulary learning. (Published article)
