This study aimed to develop a proposal to develop the role of higher education institutions in achieving social peace by revealing the role of faculty members, the role of curricula, the role of university administration, and the role of student councils in achieving social peace. For the purpose of developing a proposal to develop the role of higher education institutions in achieving social peace. The researchers selected a purposive sample of educational experts consisting of (10) faculty members who hold the rank of associate professor and professor who work in the College of Education at the Islamic University. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the descriptive analytical survey method. The study tool was an interview with A purposive sample of faculty members at the Islamic University of Gaza. The results of the interviews showed that higher education institutions can play a major role in the field of promoting social peace. This entails that those responsible for planning higher education policies in our society should be interested in developing this role so that universities can achieve ambitious goals in this regard. field, and in light of this, the researchers recommended that the university’s strategic plan include detailed objectives related to its role in achieving social peace. The researchers recommended developing a plan by each college for a timetable for holding seminars and conferences on an ongoing basis in conference halls in universities and exchanging information about promoting freedom of expression, the foundations of constructive dialogue, and the foundations of constructive dialogue.
