The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of financial compensations, and its dimensions (wages, financial incentives, and promotion), on psychological empowerment among employees at Aden University in Yemen. In addition, to investigate awareness levels of employees toward financial compensations and psychological empowerment in Aden the University. The descriptive analytical method used for analysis and a questionnaire for data collection. Random sampling technique was applied to distribute (500) questionnaires among administrative staff at Aden university. 417 completed questionnaires have returned. The most important results have been shown a positive and significant impact of financial compensations and its dimensions (wages, financial incentives, and promotion) –combined and separately- on the psychological empowerment of employees at Aden University, and it revealed that wages have greater impact on psychological empowerment than other dimensions. Furthermore, awareness level of employees toward financial compensations and psychological empowerment was high. The main recommendations, that university should create an effective compensations system that meet employee’s needs with considering national economic situation. In addition, university should enhance empowerment culture among employees in the university. (Published abstract)
