درجة تضمين المهارات الحياتية في مقرر اللغة الإنجليزية للصف الرابع الابتدائي في المملكة العربية السعودية وما يقابله في دولة قطر
This study aimed to identify the degree of inclusion the life skills in the English language book for the fourth grade of primary school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and compare it with the English language book for the first grade of the primary school in Qatar. The study sample consisted of the English language book for the first semester. The researcher prepared the study tool, which was represented in a content analysis form, which divided into two main areas: social skills and physical skills. The findings verify that there is a great interest in including various types of life skills, especially social skills in both the English language course in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the English language course of primary school in Qatar, despite of the variation in the type and quantity of the listed life skills. The results showed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was considered in a slightly advanced situation, in inclusion of the life skills. The study recommended to enhance inclusion of the social skills in the English language book and working to enhance and diversify of the physical skills in the English language book.
