The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of teaching using a teaching program based on the gamification strategy in developing mathematical power skills and academic achievement among 5th grade students in Jordan. The quasi-experimental method was used to achieve the study's objectives, and the study sample consisted of all 5th grade students in schools affiliated at AlJamia Schools in Amman, with a total of (27) students were randomly selected for the study, that divided into two groups, the (14) male and female students in the experimental group and (13) students in the control group. The experimental group was taught by using gamification-based teaching program, while the control group was taught using the conventional method. Pre- and post-tests for mathematical achievement and mathematical power skills were administered to both groups in the second semester of the academic year 2022/2023 after ensuring their validity and reliability. The study concluded that there were statistically significant differences in the overall performance of the experimental group in the academic achievement test. The results also showed statistically significant differences in each skill of the mathematical power skills test in for the experimental group. In light of these results, the study recommended using the gamification strategy in teaching mathematics, specifically in developing mathematical power skills and improving academic achievement. (Author's abstract)
