The study aimed to identify the degree of usage of the methods of evaluation of written expression from the point of view of Arabic language teachers in Al- Dahira governorate in the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to indicating the differences between the study members based on the variables: gender, and experience in detecting the degree of the usage of the methods of the written expression evaluation by the Arabic language teachers in Al Dhahira Governorate, Sultanate of Oman. The study community consisted of (345) male and female teachers of the Arabic language in Al Dhahira governorate. The study sample was selected in a random manner, and it reached (127) male and female teachers. The study followed the descriptive approach, and to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared a questionnaire based on the relevant studies, then its sincerity was confirmed by presenting it to a group of arbitrators. The questionnaire consisted of (17) methods and applied the tool to all sample of the study and reached a set of results: 1) The degree of use of methods of evaluation of written expression from the point of view of Arabic teachers in Al- Dahira governorate came in general with a moderate degree in the methods of remedial, selective correction, code and group correction, use of observation and reference networks, correction of glorious student and collection of students errors and giving them for students to correct for themselves and the usage of portfolio of achievement, pair, self-and family correction. 2) The methods of the direct individual correction, the detailed explanation of common mistakes and the correction of the performance of the expression all had a high degree. 3) The absence of statistically significant differences at the level of indication (α=0.05) between the members of the study sample in the degree of the usage of the methods of evaluating the written expression based on the gender variable in all methods except the indicative correction method, which was in favour of males. 4) The are no statistically significant differences at the level of semantic (α=0.05) between the members of the study sample in the degree of the usage of the written expression evaluation methods depending on the variant of experience in all the methods of evaluating the written expression included in the study tool: (1-10) – (11) and above. The study presented a set of recommendations and proposed research related to the previous result, included by the researcher in the study body. (Author’s abstract)
