معوقات توظيف التطبيقات الرقمية في مدارس التعليم الأساسي في محافظة مسقط بسلطنة عمان من وجهة نظر المعلمين
This study aimed to identify the obstacles to the use of digital applications in Basic Education schools in Muscat Governorate, in the Sultanate of Oman, from the perspective of teachers. To this end, a descriptive survey (a four-part questionnaire with a total number of 27 items) was designed and used. After ensuring its validity and reliability, the questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 540 male and female teachers of cycle one and two Basic Education schools in Muscat Governorate. One of the most notable findings of the study was that the constraints on the use of digital applications in basic education schools in Muscat are substantial. While the results showed no statistically significant differences due to gender and years of experience, they revealed statistically significant differences due to the variable of the number of training courses in digital applications in favor of more than two sessions. Considering the obtained results, several recommendations and suggestions are put forward. One of the important recommendations is for the Directorate General of Information Technology and the Directorate General of Administrative Affairs to liaise with the telecommunications companies to provide the necessary services and internet networks at reasonable prices (within the reach of the beneficiaries of the educational process), especially for the staff of the Ministry of Education and school students. Another important recommendation is that the training department of the Muscat District should organize intensive training courses in using digital applications for selected administrative and teaching staff in schools.
