The study aimed to identify the degree of effectiveness of the training programs implemented in the Training and Professional Development Centre in Al-Dhahirah Governorate on the professional growth of mathematics teachers from their point of view. It also investigated the differences of teachers' responses with respect to years of gender and teaching experience responses of the participant teachers in the study that could be attributed to gender and years of experience variables. The study utilized a descriptive analytical approach, which suits the aims of the current study and its specific questions. Therefore, the study was applied to a random sample of mathematics teachers for grades (5-12) in Al-Dhahirah Governorate. The sample size included 100 male and female teachers. A questionnaire including five domains: identifying training needs, training objectives, designing training content, implementing training, and evaluating and following up on the training impact was used to collect data. The results of the study showed that the degree of the effectiveness of the implementing training programs was high from the point of view of participant’s teachers. The results also indicated that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) to the degree of effectiveness of the training programs attributed to the gender variable, in relation to the total, the training objectives, the implementation of training, and evaluation and following up of the training impact. However, the results indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the domains of identifying training needs and designing training content in favor of female teachers. Additionally, the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α = 0.05) in the degree of effectiveness of the training programs in the five domains and the total attributed to the years of experience variable. The study presented a set of recommendations and suggested further research based on the results. (Author’s abstract)
