The study aimed to develop social skills through a behavioral training program, and to reveal the effectiveness of the program in reducing the difficulties of learning to write for children with mild autism. To achieve this goal, the study sample consisted of (6) children with autism spectrum disorder (experimental group) whose ages ranged between (7-9) years, with an average age of (7.966) and a standard deviation of (0.592), the researcher used the quasi-experimental approach, and after applying the researcher has the following tools: a list of social skills (prepared by the researcher), a list of difficulties in learning writing (prepared by Shadia Khalil 2022), a behavioral counseling program (prepared by the researcher). The results resulted in: 1) Verbal communication - social communication - expressing feelings) and the degrees and dimensions of writing difficulties learning (handwriting [handwriting] - spelling and dictation - written expression) in the experimental group before and after applying the behavioral counseling program in favor of the dimensional measurement. 2) There are no statistically significant differences between the average ranks of social skills degrees and their dimensions (verbal communication - social communication – expressing feelings) and the degrees of difficulties learning writing and their dimensions (handwriting [handwriting] - spelling and spelling - written expression) for the experimental group in the post and follow-up measurement. Which shows the effectiveness of the behavioral program in improving the study variables. (Published abstract)
