The current study aimed to identify the availability degree of the components of professional learning communities and their relationship to the development of teachers' leadership skills In basic education schools in the Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The study followed the descriptive correlative method, and the questionnaire was used to collect data and information, and it was applied to a sample of (494) male and female teachers. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: The availability degree of the components of professional learning communities in basic education schools in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman was generally high, and The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) between the average estimates of the study sample of teachers for the degree of availability of the components of professional learning communities in primary education schools in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman due to the variables of gender and job title, while there were no such differences. Differences in the variables of years of experience and scientific qualification. The results also revealed that the availability degree of leadership skills for teachers in basic education schools in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman was generally high, as well as high in all dimensions: classroom leadership, role models and guidance, work groups and teams, powers and authorities, professional teaching, and communication with the community. The results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the significance level (α≤0.05) in the responses of the study sample of teachers to the degree of availability of leadership skills for them in basic education schools in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman due to the variables of gender, educational qualification, years of experience, and job title; In addition to the above, the results of the study revealed the existence of a positive and statistically significant correlation at the level (0.01) between all dimensions of the components of professional learning communities and the dimensions of teachers’ leadership skills in basic education schools in Al Buraimi Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. In light of the results of the study, a set of recommendations were presented, the most important of which are: Working to create supportive conditions in the school of basic education in order to enhance the building and application of professional learning communities with high efficiency and effectiveness, and to grant principals of basic education schools more Management and technical powers so that the school principals and teachers can activate professional learning communities Leadership skills with a high degree of efficiency and effectiveness.
