دور مديري المدارس في توفير البيئة المدرسية الآمنة من وجهة نظر المعلمين
The study aimed to identify the role of elementary school principals in the Education Directorate of Yatta in providing a safe school environment from the perspective of teachers, and to explore any variations based on different variables (gender, educational qualification, years of experience, school level, educational qualification, school nature, school location). The study adopted an analytical descriptive approach, and a stratified random sample of 374 male and female teachers from the schools of the Education Directorate of Yatta was selected. A questionnaire was used as a data collection tool, consisting of 48 items distributed across six axes: School health and nutrition, facilities and amenities, counseling and mental health, intellectual and physical security, school activities, and teacher support for providing a safe environment. The study results showed that the role of elementary school principals in the Education Directorate of Yatta in providing a safe school environment from the perspective of teachers was high, with a mean score of 4.07. Additionally, the results indicated statistically significant differences in the sample responses regarding the role of school principals in providing a safe school environment attributed to gender, favoring males; educational qualification, favoring diploma holders; years of experience, favoring those with more than 15 years of experience; educational qualification, favoring teachers with an educational qualification certificate; school location, favoring Yatta city; school nature, favoring boys' schools; and school level, favoring lower basic schools. Based on the study results, it is recommended to enhance the safe school environment in schools facing resilience and challenges, and to ensure that all specialties obtain an educational qualification certificate in the Yatta Directorate.
