The study aims to identify the role played by social networking sites to recognize the university students of the climate of freedom of opinion and the impact on their political participation in the revolution of January 25, 2011 The researcher conducted a field study of the approach on a sample survey has 400 single instance of Egyptian university students (University of Cairo - Mansoura - Al-Azhar - 6 October). The most important results of the study: 1) The members of the sample is a social networking source of information and there are other less important sources of 37%. 2) the most important groups that are shared by students of political groups is an average of 5.3 in the order of the first. 3) see members of that social networking sites represents an important area of free discussion and the formation of public opinion 4) The social networking sites have an important role in assembling and mobilizing demonstrations as we find it said Nbesbh Qalnam of 63.75%. 5) The social networking sites have had some Dorafa assist students in deciding to participate in the events of January 25, where the revolution of Nbsh said yes, 37%.
