The study aimed to identify the security media and its role in crisis management in Palestine from the point of view of the staff of Istiqlal University, through the study of the reality of security media in Palestine, the reality of crisis management in Palestinian security institutions, and the obstacles that limit the role of security media in crisis management in Palestine, as well as the relationship between security media and its role in crisis management. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was adopted through a specially designed questionnaire, distributed to (250) employees at The University of Independence, and (143) resolutions were recovered and valid for analysis by 57.2%. The study concluded many results: the presence of a special department of security media in the security institutions, the presence of a spokesperson representing the Palestinian security media, the existence of continuous coordination between the official security media and various Palestinian security sectors, as it reached that the bad use of financial resources causes some crises, that the political situation is one of the causes of crises in Palestine and is one of the obstacles facing the security media in exercising its role in managing crises, that rationalizing the consumption of resources in the institution reduces the possibility of some crises occur, and the small number of specialists in the field of security media is one of the most important obstacles facing the security media in exercising its role in crisis management, and there is no interest in security institutions in the role of security media in the face of crises. A high positive relationship between the reality of security media and crisis management in Palestinian security institutions. The study concluded with a number of recommendations: to increase public confidence in the credibility and accuracy of the information provided by the security media, by taking care of the need to release information after verifying its credibility and high accuracy, and to fight rumors that can reduce confidence in the security media. It is also very important to provide as much information and data as necessary as possible for security media so that it can manage crises successfully, by ensuring that the security media is provided between the two parties, which in turn warns crisis management of crises before they occur, to follow the views and feelings of society during and after the crisis, through the conduct of opinion polls and interviews with specialists and the affected group of the crisis, to introduce the specialty of security media in Palestinian universities, to obtain specialized staff in this field, and to intensify specialized courses in the necessary skills in accomplishing the security media personnel work edited in crisis management with high professionalism, and the security media must cover all crises without exception, taking care to achieve full harmony between the media policy and crisis management, and to provide the necessary material resources of the budget and sufficient to enable the security media to play its role in the face of crises.
