The problem of the study could be determined in the following main question: How was the theatrical teaching method dealt with in theatrical performances presented to mentally handicapped children? The study aimed to shed light on the importance of using theatrical teaching method to identify the issues of mentally handicapped students in theatrical performances presented to them, which help them to realize their issues, and the impact of theatrical performances presented in the school theatre on them. This study belongs to the descriptive method. The tools of the study: Content analysis. The sample of the study consisted in an analytical sample represented in watching and analyzing the events of theatrical performances, which were chosen in a deliberate manner, and shedding light on the importance of theatre competitions for special education, which were presented at the level of the Republic, audio, intellectual and visual. The competitions included theatrical performances for the students of intellectual education in Qalyubia Governorate the place of the study, who own Latent and distinct abilities, just like the healthy, and the use of theatre to explode these creative energies to discover and develop the potentials abilities of students so as to choose the team that represents Qalyubia Governorate in the republic’s competitions, which included eight theatrical performances. The study used the descriptive method. The results showed that: 1) The theatrical performances presented to intellectually disabled students, the sample of the study, came to discuss, present and address their issues. 2) The effectiveness of using theatrical teaching method in developing the concept of belonging, and consolidating the principles of citizenship, patriotism, loyalty and the importance of the profession to the individual and society for intellectually disabled students.
