The research dealt with the role of educational institutions in developing the values of tolerance in the contemporary Egyptian society by addressing the intellectual and philosophical foundations for the values of tolerance and then the role of educational institutions in developing the values of tolerance in the contemporary Egyptian society. Among the most important findings of the research are the following: Tolerance is one of the values related to human rights, and tolerance refers to accepting differences in human, moral and intellectual qualities, acknowledging the rights of all individuals, and respecting the opinions of others, and educational institutions play an important and influential role in developing the values of tolerance. Through its intellectual and cultural accumulation and its impact on the societal value system. Tolerance works to achieve the ability to coexist between peoples and individuals away from conflicts and the spread of racism and hatred, and the research recommends more research and specialized studies that may be exposed to comparative environments or different age groups in order to identify the level of development of tolerance values in Egyptian society.
