The study aims to define the role of governance in improving the competitiveness of Mansoura University from the perspective of university leaders and to identify statistically significant differences - if any - depending on the parameters of the study (gender, university proposal, and years of experience and presentation of academic title as a starting point to improve competitiveness. The study is based on the descriptive approach and to achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was collected to gather information, and it contains a shaft of forty-four pieces, and it was distributed among a sample of 117 current. And former academic leader at Mansoura University (dean, deputy), head of the science department. The study found the following results: The importance of the role of governance in improving the competitiveness of the University of Mansoura, where the overall availability of the sections was high with an average of (2. 35), and the degree of importance of the general category-at 2.8, in the average of the axis, the sections were large (2. 8) of the three categories of the classified scale; the study also found that there were no statistically significant differences in the opinion of the members of the sample regarding the significant availability due to the study variables, where the Q values were not statistically significant. The study resulted in the development of a proposed notion of improving the competitiveness of Income Competitiveness Governance. (Published abstract)
