The aim of the current research is to identify the theoretical foundations for managing special education schools, and the detection of the most important contemporary global trends in the management of special education schools, identifying areas for developing the management of special education schools in Egypt. The research used the descriptive method to achieve its objectives and answer its questions, research tools summarized in personal interviews and questionnaire. The study found several results, including: 1) The lack of material resources allocated by the state to spend on special education schools. 2) The occupational structure within special education schools is traditional. 3) Lack of the job descriptions in special education schools for their employees in prticular. 4) Weakness and insufficiency of the set objectives for selecting and hiring of those who are in charge of special education schools.
