The study aimed to conceive a proposal based on the competencies Approach to develop tourism awareness among students at higher institutes of tourism and hotels. The descriptive curriculum was used to describe and analyze the reality of tourism awareness among the students of the Higher Institute of Tourism and Hotels in South Sinai. A questionnaire was designed to identify the availability of the six-tourism awareness-building competencies. The identification included the following: "Planning - training and pursuit of achievement - digital communication - initiative - self-confidence - loyalty and affiliation". It was applied to a sample of 354 students from the Higher Institute of Tourism and Hotels in Ras Sidr, as well as students from South Sinai hotel schools. The questionnaire was presented to a committee of academic experts from several Arab universities before it was applied to the sample's students. The main results were: 1) There are shortfalls in the availability of tourism awareness competencies among students at the Higher Institute of Tourism and Hotels in South Sinai confirmed by the field study. 2) The total focus of tourism awareness among the students at the Higher Institute of Tourism and Hotels in South Sinai, and hotel secondary schools are ranked (available at a medium level) in terms of availability at an average of 1.95 calculations. standard deviation (0.46). 3) The study came up with a proposal based on the concept of competencies to develop tourism awareness among students at the Higher Institutes of Tourism and Hotels in South Sinai. 4) The need for tourism awareness among students of higher education has become an important issue that should be high on the list of strategic priorities for any higher tourism and hotel institute.
