إستخدام القصص الرقمية في تدريس الدراسات الاجتماعية لتنمية الفهم التاريخي والاتجاه نحو المادة لدى تلاميذ المرحلة الابتدائية
The current study aimed to identify the effect of using the digital stories in teaching social studies to develop historical understanding and attitude towards the subject among sixth-grade primary pupils. The study sample consists of (50) pupils of sixth grade at the primary stage that was divided into two groups: the control group that consists of 25 pupils who studied the topics of the third and fourth units (events from modern and contemporary Egyptian history, political, economic and social transformations in Egypt in the period from 1952 AD to 30 June 2013 AD) by the traditional method used in schools, and the other is an experimental group consisted of (25) pupils who studied the same two units using digital stories. And the tools of the study were: historical understanding test and the attitude scale towards the subject matter, where the two study tools were pre-applied to the study groups, then each of them studied the two units, then the two study tools were post applied to the two study groups. The results confirmed the effectiveness of using digital stories in teaching social studies in developing historical understanding and attitude towards the subject among sixth graders. The study recommended the necessity of using digital stories in teaching social studies at all levels of education, and the necessity of training teachers on the procedures for using them in the classroom because it achieves the desired educational goals.
