فاعلية برنامج مقترح قائم على نظرية التعلم التحويلي في تدريس الرياضيات على تنمية التفكير التأملي والكفاءة الذاتية لدى طلاب المرحلة الثانوية
The current research aims to construct a proposed program based on the transformative learning theory in teaching mathematics and to determine its effect in developing reflective thinking and self-efficacy among secondary school students. The research sample consisted of (71) female students in the first year at Alshaheeda Shadia Salama Secondary School in Suez Governorate. The research sample was chosen randomly, and it was divided into two equal groups: a control group (they were taught in the usual way) and their number were (36) students, and an experimental group (they were taught using the proposed program) and their number were (35) students. The reflective thinking skills test was prepared, as well as the self-efficacy scale, for the purpose of collecting data according to the experimental approach with a quasi-experimental design. The test of reflective thinking skills and the self-efficacy scale were pre- and post-tested on the research sample. The results showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the scores mean of the students of the experimental group and the scores of the students of the control group) at (a ≤ 0.05) in the post - test of the reflective thinking skills test in favor of the students of the experimental group. The results also revealed that there was a statistically significant difference between the scores mean of the students of the experimental group and the scores of the students of the control group at (a ≤ 0.05) in the post test of the self-efficacy scale in favor of the students of the experimental group. It also found a statistically significant correlation between reflective thinking skills and self-efficacy for first year secondary students, the researcher presented a number of recommendations and proposals, including give attention to the use of transformative learning in teaching mathematics in the different stages of education and conducting studies similar to the current study on other dependent variables such as: geometric thinking, creative thinking skills, and the attitude towards mathematics.
