The research aimed to determine the requirements of professional communities of practice and professional performances that must be met by elementary mathematics teachers in the light of those requirements from their perspective and to identify the degree of their importance and the extent of their application within schools, as well as determining the level of professional responsibility of teachers towards activating communities of practice in schools, as the goal The research aims to present a suggested proposal for developing the professional performance of mathematics teachers and their professional responsibility in light of the requirements of the E-communities of practice. To achieve research objectives, the descriptive analytical approach was used to determine the requirements of the communities of practice and the professional performances that teachers must have in light of them, and the dimensions of professional responsibility that teachers need to have to activate the communities of practice, as well as preparing the research tools, which are a list of the requirements of the communities of practice and a scale to measure the extent to which mathematics teachers have professional responsibility. The research sample consisted of (85) elementary mathematics teachers in Dakahlia and Cairo governorates. The results showed the low possession of mathematics teachers of the professional performance necessary for the application of communities of practice, as well as their low level of professional responsibility, in addition to the presence of a statistically significant difference between the average degrees of professional responsibility assessment for teachers.
