The study aimed at identifying the level of female kindergarten teachers’ knowledge and practices in action research in accordance with the professional development standards and detecting statistically significant differences between the practices of female kindergarten teachers according to the two variables (years of experience, training courses). Additionally, it was based on the descriptive survey method where the researcher developed a questionnaire that was applied to a sample of female kindergarten teachers in public and national schools in the governorates of Wadi Al-Dawasir and Al-Sulayyil. The sample was (118) female teachers. The results of the study showed that the level of female kindergarten teachers’ knowledge in action research in accordance with the professional development standards was within the item (to a certain extent), which indicates a medium level of knowledge of action research, its importance and objectives. The results also showed that the level of female kindergarten teachers' practices in action research in accordance with the professional development standards generally was within the item (not agree), signifying a decrease in their practice of action research and its skills. Moreover, the results displayed that there were no statistically significant differences among the kindergarten female teachers’ practices for the action research due to the variable (years of experience). While, the study has found that there were statistically significant differences among the female kindergarten teachers’ practices for action research due to the variable (training courses) in action research in favor of the female teachers receiving training courses in this field. Accordingly, the researcher suggested several recommendations, including: Raising awareness of action research by kindergarten administrations through holding workshops and mini-training courses in addition to using professional development standards to identify areas in which the female kindergarten teacher can carry out action research.
