درجة اكتساب طلبة الدراسات العليا بجامعة السلطان قابوس لمبادئ الاستدامة في التعليم من وجهة نظرهم
The study aimed to reveal the degree of acquisition of the principles of sustainability in education by postgraduate students at Sultan Qaboos University from their perspectives. Data was collected using a scale of 30 items divided into three main categories: academic sustainability (teaching and learning), research sustainability (scientific research), and social sustainability (university and community service). The validity of the instrument was checked and the reliability was calculated by Cronbach Alpha which reached 974. The instrument was administered to 206 postgraduate students enrolled at Sultan Qaboos University. The results showed that the degree of acquisition of sustainability principles by postgraduate students was generally high. The study revealed statistical differences between male and female students in social sustainability in favor of males, and in academic sustainability in favor of the master’s program. The study also revealed an interaction in the degree to which sustainability principles are acquired according to the variables of gender, study program, and college. The research recommended that the principles of sustainability should be included in the university’s three areas. It also recommended the implementation of training courses for faculty members to train them in teaching the principles of sustainability for postgraduate students. (Published abstract)
