The purpose of this study was to investigate the level of job life quality as perceived by faculty members at Jeddah University. The study used the descriptive approach through administering a questionnaire for collecting the study data and achieving its objectives. The questionnaire consisted of (44) items distributed among four domains, and it was administrated to the responded 218 male faculty members in the humanities and sciences faculties at the University of Jeddah during the first semester of the academic year (2021-2022). The findings of the study showed that the level of quality of job life for faculty members at the University of Jeddah, in general, was in an average level; the job characteristics domain came first in terms of quality while the facilities and university services domain was in the last rank with a low level. The rest of the domains were found to be at an average level. The study results also indicated significant statistical differences between the responses of the study sample were attributed to the difference in the college and in favor of the scientific faculties and significant statistical differences attributed to the difference in the scientific rank in all the domains of the study and at the total level in favor of the professor rank. The results also displayed that there were significant statistical differences due to the difference in the number of year of service and in favor of those with more than 10 years’ service, and there were significant statistical differences due to the difference in nationality, in favor of non-Saudis. Based on the findings, the study made several recommendations, the most important of which were involving faculty members in making and taking the decisions that concerned them. (Published abstract)
