إتجاهات معلمي الدراسات الاجتماعية نحو توظيف الدراما في تدريس طلبة الحلقة الثانية في محافظة جنوب الشرقية بسلطنة عمان
This study aimed to determine the attitudes of social studies teachers towards employing drama in teaching students in the second cycle in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researchers used the qualitative approach in collecting data by constructing a semi-standardized interview, in addition to the presence of some demographic variables such as gender, specialization, and years of experience that affected their attitudes, and after ensuring the validity and reliability of the tool, it was applied to an intentional sample of (40) social studies teachers in Al Sharqiyah South Governorate. The results of the study showed that there are positive trends towards employing educational drama, but there is a limited group of teachers who use dramatic methods in their teaching. in addition to the benefits and obstacles to employing drama in teaching. Furthermore, the results of the study revealed statistically significant differences in the attitudes of social studies teachers towards employing drama can attributed to gender in favor of female teachers, specialization in favor of history, in years of experience in favor of (those who have more than 10 years’ experience). The study recommended the necessity of introducing training courses for teachers so that they are trained on how to employ educational drama In teaching; preparing a guide for social studies teachers to assist them in the teaching process according to existing teaching strategies; and employing educational drama.
