The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a proposed journalistic treatment for issues of green economy to develop literacy among readers. The researchers used the experimental design, prepared a checklist of green economy issues, and prepared “our green economy” magazine, in addition to a literacy scale measuring readers knowledge and attitudes. A pretest and posttest of the literacy scale was applied before and after reading the magazine. The result shows that there is a significant statistical difference at (a≤0.01) between the average scores in the pre and post-test green economy issues literacy scale in favor of the post test. Researchers recommended that journalists should develop what they write and refer to the proposed magazine. (Published abstract)
