The current study aimed to reveal the nature of the relationship between social anxiety and self-awareness, and the possibility of predicting social anxiety through self-awareness. The study sample consisted of (36) males and (194) females, their ages ranged between (18:24) years, with an average age of (20.31) years, and a standard deviation of (1.5). Social Anxiety for Adolescents and Youth, created by (Huwaida Hanafi Mahmoud, 2013), and the Self-Awareness Scale, created by (Hassan Ahmed Suhail, 2011). And by using Pearson correlation coefficients between the degree of social anxiety and the degree of self-awareness among students of Menoufia University, and regression analysis to show the contribution of self-awareness in predicting social anxiety, the results of statistical treatment using the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences program (version 28); showed that There is a statistically significant negative relationship between social anxiety and self-awareness among Menoufia University students. Also, social anxiety can be predicted through selfawareness. Therefore, the researcher recommends, based on these results, to make counseling and treatment programs to help students who suffer from social anxiety, in cooperation with student counseling centers in universities.
