In our current study, we tried to address a very important topic, which is reading difficulties, and we dealt with this difficulty in prepared deaf children and deaf children carrying cochlear implants. Our study aimed to identify the reading difficulties of the sample members and highlight the most important reading problems faced by deaf children. Through the course of the study, we tried to answer the following two questions: Are there reading difficulties in deaf children who carry cochlear implants, and are there reading difficulties among deaf children who have cochlear implants?, We have used a case study approach for two "cases" suffering from hearing loss "deafness" And their chronological age is (11-12) equipped, the first is equipped with a hearing device and the second case is equipped with a cochlear implant device. Two tests have also been applied in our study, the first of which is John Raven's IQ test, which is the Continuous Array Test (CPM), and the second is the Reading Test, "Holiday Text “L'allouette”, two tests adapted to the Algerian environment. The study found that prepared deaf children and deaf children carrying cochlear implants with a medium to below average intelligence level suffer from reading difficulties represented by the presence of difficulties at the level of: visual discrimination, phonemic awareness, perception and auditory discrimination and the effect of deaf child's behavior on reading achievement.
