The current study aims to reveal the most common methods of thinking among students of the University Center in Tipaza, and also seeks to know the differences between the sexes and the academic specialization in the methods of thinking. They were chosen by random method, the descriptive analytical approach was used to suit it more for the objectives of the current study, and to achieve the purposes of the study, the list of thinking styles of Sternberg and Wagner (1992 Sternberg & Wagner), the short version, was adopted, which was Arabized and codified by 'Abu Hisham El-Sayed' (2007). And it measures thirteen thinking styles, and it consists of (65) items, with an average of five items for each style of thinking. After statistical treatment, the results came as follows : 1) The most common styles among students, respectively, are: (legislative, local, hierarchical, external, internal, royal, global, liberal, minority, executive, conservative, anarchist, judgmental) 2) There are no differences between the sexes in the ways of thinking with the exception of the global and external style in favor of males. 3) There are no differences between the academic disciplines in the methods of thinking except for the global method in favor of the psychology major. In the end, some recommendations and suggestions were presented to pay more attention to using modern strategies that help in the growth and development of thinking styles for both professors and students.
