This study sought to reveal the type of leadership style (democratic - autocratic - free) prevalent in educational institutions and this is according to the opinion of professors of intermediate education, as well as the differences in the degree of leadership style attributable to intermediate variables (gender - seniority) The study sample consisted of 50 professors who were chosen as Stratified random sample from middle school teachers in Tamanrasset. We followed the descriptive approach to its suitability of the quality of the study, and a tool was applied for the study and verifying its sincerity and consistency in the exploratory study, and the statistical treatment of the results was carried out using the statistical program SPSS to verify the validity of the hypotheses from which the research was launched, and the study reached the following results: 1) Educational institutions is the democratic style 2) There are statistically significant differences in the type of leadership style attributed to the gender variable. 3) There are statistically significant differences in the type of leadership style attributable to the seniority variable.
