The current research aims to recognize the level of readability of the mathematics book for the first preparatory grade in the "Official Schools of Languages" in Menoufia Governorate and the relationship of that level to academic achievement. The descriptive methodology was used, and to achieve the goal of the research; the researcher prepared the (Cloze Test) to measure the level of readability of the book, and after verifying the validity and reliability of the test. In the first term of the year (2020-2021AD) the test was applied to the research sample, which Consisted of (200) male and female students distributed in (8) schools from Menoufia Governorate, and through statistical processing of the raw scores of the research sample, the results showed the following: The level of readability of the book as a whole occurred in the educational level, and that the texts of the book are not gradual in light of its readability, and finally there is a weak correlation of (0.463) with a statistical significance at (0.01) between the level of the readability of the mathematics book and the academic achievement of the first-year middle school students in Language Schools. In light of the previous results; Some recommendations and proposals were made, including: Adopting readability within the specifications of the textbook, so that a textbook is not approved until after determining the degree of its readability, reviewing mathematics books in language schools by English language specialists to ensure non-literal translation of mathematical texts, conducting similar studies and researches to measure the readability level of mathematics books in Languages' schools in different stages and their relationship to other variables.
