تقييم فاعلية استراتيجيات تشخيص طفل طيف التوحد في مؤسسات ذوي الإحتياجات الخاصة : الحكومية والخاصة
This study aimed to identify the level of effectiveness of the strategies used for diagnosing children’s autism spectrum disorder in institutions for people with special needs (governmental - private). As well as knowing whether there are differences in the strategies for diagnosing autism spectrum disorder and whether these differences are due to the educational qualification variable, years of seniority, workplace, and exact scientific specialization. The descriptive-analytical approach was used, and a questionnaire was distributed by the researcher, which included a sample size of 269 specialists supervising the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder in children based on the available sample. The results of the study are as follows: 1) A high level of effectiveness of the strategies adopted in diagnosing children’s autism spectrum disorder in institutions for people with special needs (governmental - private). 2) There is a difference in the order of strategies adopted in diagnosing children’s autism spectrum disorder in institutions for people with special needs (governmental - private), where the early diagnosis strategy came first, followed by the multidisciplinary team integration strategy, then the differential diagnosis strategy. 3) There are differences in the effectiveness of the strategies adopted in diagnosing children’s autism spectrum disorder among institutions for people with special needs (governmental - private) according to the educational qualification variable, which was statistically significant in favor of those with a bachelor’s or master’s degree. 4) There are no differences in the effectiveness of the strategies adopted in diagnosing children’s autism spectrum disorder among institutions for people with special needs (governmental - special) according to the variable of seniority. 5) There are differences in the effectiveness of the strategies adopted in diagnosing children’s autism spectrum disorder among institutions for people with special needs (governmental - special) according to the workplace variable, and the differences were in favor of specialists working in the government sector. 6) There are differences in the effectiveness of the strategies adopted in diagnosing children’s autism spectrum disorder among institutions for people with special needs (governmental - private) according to the exact scientific specialization variable, which was statistically significant in favor of those with precise scientific specializations, which came in the following order: (Child Psychiatry, Orthophony, Psychology).
