The current research aimed to analyze the content of the mathematics textbook for the fifth grade of primary school to reveal the main and secondary metacognitive skills in mathematics. The research sample consisted of textbooks for the first and second semesters, and a tool was built to analyze the content of the textbook to reveal the main and secondary skills included in its content. The results of content analysis showed that the percentage of planning skill and its sub-skills reached (83.7%), while the percentage of monitoring skill and its sub-skills reached (7.1%), and the percentage of evaluation skill reached (9.2%), and the research recommended the importance of enriching mathematics books.
