The study aimed to identify the effect of using the strategy of learning by playing in developing critical thinking skills in science subject among the fourth-grade students in the Northern Jordan Valley Education Directorate. The study followed the semi-experimental approach. Education of the Northern Valleys Brigade, and accordingly, two groups of fourth grade students were selected in a simple random way, where the first group of (24) students represented the experimental group, and the second group of (24) students was the control group. To achieve the objectives of the study, a skills test was prepared Critical thinking, and the results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant effect of the learning by playing strategy between the average marks of the two experimental groups that were studied using the learning by playing strategy and the marks of the control group that were taught in the usual way on critical thinking tests in favor of the experimental group.
