The present research aims to identify the effect of a training program based on educational design processes on developing life skills among the female students of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University in Saudi Arabia. It also promotes life skills in education in light of Saudi Arabia vision 2030. The author adopted the experimental approach. The sample comprised (61) human resources diploma students who are enrolled in the computer applications course at the Deanship of Community Service and Continuous Education. To achieve the research objectives, the author trained the students on the processes and stages of educational design according to the general model ADDIE via Microsoft Teams virtual classroom program and benefited from E-learning management system (Blackboard) and its tools, such as discussion and communication forum. To assess the students' life skills, the author prepared a questionnaire consisting of five domains (problem solving skills, decision-making skills, communication skills, academic skills and technical skills). The results showed statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) on life skills scale in favor of the post-test, which indicated that training students on educational design processes developed their life skills. Moreover, training students to apply educational design in educational activities reinforced their personal skills. The research recommends reconsidering the academic plans and educational programs and delivering courses on educational design and life skills to promote students’ skills and qualify them for labor market.
