ممارسات مديري المدارس في تطبيق التعليم الريادي كمدخل للتحول نحو مجتمع المعرفة : دراسة تطبيقية على التعليم ما بعد الأساسي بسلطنة عمان
The present study aimed at uncovering the practices of principals of post-primary education schools to implement entrepreneurship education as an input to the transformation towards the knowledge society in Oman, to achieve the objective of the study a descriptive approach was used and a questionnaire was designed that included four domains related to knowledge-based society: knowledge production, knowledge dissemination, knowledge preservation and knowledge application. The reliability of the study tool was tested, and alpha-Cronbach value was (0.987). The total sample of the study was (306), including school administrators, their assistants and teachers in public Omani schools. The results of the study showed that there is integrative relationship between entrepreneur education and the requirements of the knowledge-based society. That is because moving towards activating the entrepreneurship education in the society contributes greatly to preparing individuals to carry out investment projects and available resources which in turn will contribute to the development of new ideas leading to the knowledge-based economy. The results of the survey part of the study showed that the highest mean of the response was related to knowledge reservation (3.67), while the lowest mean value is for the knowledge production (3.40). In the light of the study results, a set of recommendations and suggestions were proposed. (Published abstract)
